    NOTE: Danville IL is 1.5 hours from Indy, 2.5 from Chicagoland, 3.5 from St. Louis.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop a team that responsibly manages 34,000sqft of warehouse and 10-14M$ in inventory.
    • Value stream minded schedule development that prioritizes decisions using input from both internal and external customers.
    • Key collaborator that partners with Procurement and Forecasting/Planning groups to achieve Supply Chain objectives.
    • Big picture thinker capable of translating ambitious goals into workable solutions.
    • Partners with production to achieve overall plant objectives.
    • Frequently balances a sense of urgency required for crisis while maintaining focus on key initiatives and day-day execution.
    • Views the team’s success (and production’s) as a reflection of their own.
    • Develops SMART objectives for team members that support the overall Supply Chain Objectives.
    • Maintain a Cross-training Matrix and Development an execution plan for the team.
    • Establish & Maintain job descriptions for the team members.
    • Identifies, Maps, and Measures Core Processes for the team including:
      • Warehouse Management
      • Managing Obsolete Parts
      • Control Inventory
      • All other Kan Ban program Management
      • Receiving
    • Work with Director or Supply Chain to establish/maintain KPI dashboard that summarizes material management’s performance.
    • Encourages Culture of Improvement and Identifying Waste
    • Responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counting and material shortage recovery & corrective actions.

    Required Education/Qualifications

    • 5+ years supervisory experience, production/manufacturing/warehousing environment, preferred.
    • Warehouse, Electronics or Logistics experience or education preferred.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Requires some physical ability such as moderate lifting, working on ladders and in lift platforms, working outside, carrying equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more.
    • May require occasional travel to vendor facilities and seminars.
    • Requires willingness to travel by air, possessing a valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles.
