    ON-PREMISE MARKET MANAGER

     

    Watchfire Signs is an 85+ year old company that is rapidly growing as an industry leader in the cutting-edge technology of digital LED signs.  Our electronic message centers (EMCs) are designed for 24/7 outdoor signage use in all weather conditions.  These cutting edge outdoor LED displays may be as small as a time-and-temperature sign at a local bank or as large as 15'x50' and beyond.  Our on-premise division sells to sign companies and dealers who re-sell our EMCs as a portion of a complete signage / business identity package for their customers.

    A market manager is responsible for quickly following up on EMC leads generated by Watchfire marketing efforts (website, search engine ads, email campaigns, outbound calls, etc.).  A market manager is also expected to uncover opportunities on his or her own thru on-site visits, phone calls and referrals.  A market manager must work closely with local sign company sales reps visiting end user prospects and making presentations to help win opportunities.  A market manager reports to a regional sales director but also receives guidance, direction and mentoring from an overlapping territory manager. 

     

    Watchfire provides each market manager with the tools necessary to be successful.  A professional base salary is combined with commissions for exceeding base sales goals. 

     

    It is required that a market manager live within the assigned market.  This position will require overnight travel less than 20% of working time.

     

    Territory:  Baltimore metropolitan area and surrounding communities

    Responsibilities

    • Quickly follow up on all EMC leads generated by Watchfire marketing efforts.
    • Uncover opportunities on his or her own through on-site visits, phone calls or referrals.
    • Support local sign company sales reps in their sales presentations to end user customers through on-site sign demonstrations and expert consultation on LED sign features and benefits as well as Watchfire competitive advantages.
    • Keep the overlapping territory manager informed of all sales opportunities, sign company developments and competitor activities.
    • Utilize CRM tools to record activity and manage sales pipeline.

    Required Education/Qualifications

    Required Education/Qualifications:

    • 2+ years demonstrated selling experience REQUIRED
    • 2+ years working in the outdoor sign industry PREFERRED
    • High school diploma REQUIRED
    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in business, sales, electronics or related fields PREFERRED
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license REQUIRED
    • Live in the assigned market REQUIRED
    • Willingness and ability to fly as needed to accomplish territory goals and attend company meetings REQUIRED
    • Maintain physical ability to do moderate lifting and to complete the moderately demanding physical activities required in the job REQUIRED
    • Proficiency in the key Microsoft programs; Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
    • Familiarity with sales force automation (SFA) or customer relationship management (CRM) software, ideally SalesForce.com.
