    • Administer AWS resources, including EC2, RDS and S3.
    • Develop Linux-based utilities for servers and client systems.
    • Maintain Ubuntu package repositories.
    • Create service alerts and monitoring tools.
    • Automate upgrades, scaling and recovery procedures.
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts while interacting with clients and service providers.
    • Write documentation for administrative tools and procedures.
    • Be available off-hours during critical periods (i.e. maintenance and recovery).

    Required Education/Qualifications

    Years of Experience Required: 4+ years working with Amazon Web Services for production deployments.


    Skills / Experience Required: Professional experience working with Linux and AWS.


    Skills / Experience Desired:

    • Expert-level knowledge of Ubuntu Linux (dpkg, systemd, xorg).
    • Expert shell scripting abilities (bash).
    • Experience with Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat and OpenSSL.
    • Ability to work well in a small team or independently.
    • Ability to read or write code in Java and Python is a plus.
    • Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
