    NOTE:  Danville, IL is 2.5 hours from Chicago, 1.5 from Indianapolis, 0.5 from Champaign/Urbana.

    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:  Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Facility equipment such as air compressors, lift tables, environmental test chambers, material handling equipment and commercial HVAC-R equipment.

    • Performs facility equipment maintenance and module level troubleshooting and repair
    • Make reccommendations for equipment maintenance to make efficient use of department resources
    • Maintain accurate record keeping including maintenance logs and spare parts inventory
    • Maintain a sense of urgency while being safety minded and maintaining professional demeanor
    • Must work well as part of a team in a small department
    • Must be flexible with work schedule and assingment to meet demand and/or schedule including some weekend support
    • Other duties as required

    Required Education/Qualifications

    • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance with 2 years relevant experience or 5 year experience in a maintenance role preferred
    • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, as well as be proficient with computers
    • Able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
    • Able to write effectively and present information in one on one and small group situations
    • Must be able to effectively communicate via email and cell
    • Establish and maintain productive relationships with employees in affected departments/areas
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and accurately convert between systems of units of measure
    • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions as well as deal with problems involving few fixed variables
    • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, & crouch in and around tightly configured equipment
    • Able to position and climb a 12' ladder and perform work at heights from ground floor to 40' elevation in a lift
    • Frequently lift and/or move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs.
    • Able to communicate and hear in noisy environments (near machinery, in windy conditions outside, etc.)
